In the beginning, there was a blog concept...and it was good!

Ok, to start off with, finding a good book can be crazy daunting! Seriously! I know for me I like books that have a great plot, one that you don’t read and after a while realize you don’t have enough bread crumbs to get back home! I also have to have believable characters, ones that are flawed but make you rout for them all the way through! I hate romance novels where the women are idiots. I like my women to be feisty! To have a back bone and not to be so scared they can’t tell the overbearing man where to shove it! I love witty banter in my books, the best books I’ve read are one’s where I feel like a dork for laughing out loud at a Romance novel! And I also have to have some steamy love scenes without them feeling like a porn. Some can get out of hand, and that’s where I politely close the book, and then trade it in at my nearest used book store on an author I can trust!

If what I said sounds like we have similar taste in novels than by all means keep coming back. My goal is to not only recommend books I’ve already read, and the authors I love, but I’m going to branch out and try new ones, new stories, new authors, new adventures, and hopefully help you with finding your own must reads! Most of us have too much in our lives to actually have a literary club or something where we can sit together with our friends and talk about our favorite hobby…reading! But that’s not to say that we can’t do something to help us out, we have the internet at our finger tips and there are others like me who are constantly reading, and have taken the advice of others in what to read, and are here to help you out! Think of me as your weekly book club. I’ll read two novels a week minimum and let you know what I think of them.

But lets not stop there! Tell me about books you loved! Books you hated, and if you agree or disagree with my recommendations. Let me hear from you! If you have authors you love and books I need to read and post about let me know! I’d love to hear from you all! Even if you’re just stopping by say hi! Let me know you’re out there! And keep checking back with me!

To start off with here are a few of my favorite authors:

Julia Quinn, Lisa Kleypas, Nora Roberts, Amanda Quick (Jayne Ann Krentz), Teresa Medeiros, Elizabeth Hoyt, Emily Bryan, Stephanie Laurens, Stephenie Meyer, and Laura Lee Guhrke.

Sound like your favorites too? If so, this blog will help you out! If not…try a few of them…they might broaden your romance repertoire. If you hate these authors then you’re probably not going to like the same books I do, and this blog will do nothing but annoy the living daylights out of you…sorry.

And I’ll probably post the occasional random post about what’s going on in my neck of the woods and the ensuing chaos that is my life. So be prepared to laugh, because The Young and The Restless has NOTHING on me! But don’t worry, its mainly about books!!! (Well…the good one’s that is!)

~ Brandilyn
